Story: Because of his father’s work schedule, a 4 year-old boy comes to an elementary boarding school. The students in the school are rewarded with red flowers made of paper when they do good deeds. On the other hand, the flowers are taken away from them when they do something bad. The boy, who still wets in his bed and can’t even dress himself alone, becomes a “poor” student at the school. The boy gradually isolates himself from the others, thus becoming a problem to the rest of the students. Directed by Yuan Zhang, a 6th Generation Chinese film director, known for “Beijing Bastards” (’92), “17 Years” (’99) and “Crazy English” (’99).
